Saskia Hendrickx
Saskia Hendrickx is the ILRI’s Country Representative in Mozambique based in Maputo, Mozambique but also supports other ILRI projects in the Southern African Region. She joined ILRI in February 2009 and has since then managed a number of projects: Early Detection, Reporting and Surveillance for Avian Influenza in Africa; imGoats and since September 2013 the project entitled: “Innovative Beef Value Chain Development Schemes in Southern Africa”.
Saskia is a veterinary epidemiologist with expertise in emerging and neglected zoonoses but has been involved in cattle and goat value chain projects for the past 3 years.

T Mamba

Tengetile Mamba-Ngcamphalala is ILRI’s research associate working on the project. She is based in Mbabane, Swaziland at the Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Veterinary services under the Livestock Marketing Unit but also visits the project site that is located in Siphofaneni, LUSIP area and Tshaneni, KDDP area.
Tengetile is a graduate student currently doing her Masters in Agricultural and applied Economics specializing in Agricultural Finance (University of Pretoria). She holds a Degree in Agricultural Economics and Management (University of Swaziland)

Mhlonishwa Cindzi is a senior livestock officer working for The Swaziland Water and Agriculture Development Enterprise (SWADE) as part of the Lower Usuthu Smallholder Irrigation Project (LUSIP) in the lowveld of Swaziland. He holds a Diploma in agriculture, a BSc in animal production and health and is presently pursuing a Msc in Animal Breeding and Genetics at the University of Swaziland. He has 5 years’ experience as a livestock technical advisor in Swaziland and over 3 years working with developing farmers within the LUSIP.

Ronnie Mkhombe is the Agribusiness Diversification Manager in the Lower Usuthu Smallholder Irrigation Project (LUSIP) under the Swaziland Water and Agricultural Development Enterprise (SWADE). He also serves as the National Project Coordinator in Swaziland for the Innovative Beef Value Chain Development Schemes in Southern Africa Project. He joined the SWADE in March 2011 and started working on the beef project in September 2013 although he had been involved in the initial stages of the project design and planning.
Ronnie is a general agriculturist, business and marketing expert and has been involved in the establishment of agribusinesses in alternative crops to sugarcane and livestock in in the project development area for the past three years. He has assisted farmer companies to prepare bankable business plans and procure debt finance for their farming businesses
